Arriving by ferry from the ancient town of Portovenere, you will get a spectacular view of the Palmaria Island and the Gulf of Poets that is before the village. We will start our half a day hike on the beautiful vegetation island and see its beautiful beaches that are unspoiled and untouched by mankind.
Here you will see many interesting sights and views of Portovenere and the Gulf of La Spezia. As we venture out into the island, features such as Grotta Azzurra (Blue Cave), Cave of Pigeons and Mediterranean vegetation that is composed of 500 species!
At the end of the hiking trip, you will make your way back to Portovenere. It is a hidden treasure with breathtaking landscapes that are naturally architected by mother nature and mankind over time. A town that is rich in history, its story can still be seen and re-told through monuments and ancient buildings like Doria Castle, St. Peter Church and St. Lawrence Church. The city's Art Nouveau architecture can be seen throughout the buildings, garden, arts and theaters.
