This small group tour (up to 21 participants) will begin in Sorrento, where a coach will be waiting for you to start your discovery of two wonderful Italian realities, situated in Campania, one of its most beautiful regions. We are referring to two of the most popular archaeological sites in the whole world: Herculaneum and Pompeii.

Begin your tour with Pompeii

As soon as you are ready, the coach will drive you from Sorrento to Pompeii. Here, thanks to your entrance fee included in the tour, you can't miss a walk through the excavations, surrounded by ancient villas, buildings, temples, the amphitheatre, and the thermal baths of Pompeii. Your expert guide will lead you through a two-hour visit of this archaeological site. For lunch time, you will stop in a local restaurant to taste a delicious Neapolitan meal, included in this tour.

Visit of Herculaneum ruins

Picked up and transported to site in a very comfortable and air conditioned mini bus. Guide was very knowledgable and passionate about all aspects of the tour. Highly recommended.

Amazing tour!

We were picked up in Sorrento by our guide and driven to Pompeii, We purchased the tickets and headphones and got into Pompeii very quickly. It was quite crowded but our guide was able to take us to places quickly without the crowds. It is a huge site so it was lovely to have a guide and then you can take yourself back again and wander round at your own time. We then had a delicious lunch in a restaurant outside the ruins. We then went back in the miini bus to Herculaneum. These ruins are much smaller and less crowded.We had a lovely time going round them and learning its history. Back into the bus to Sorrento.A nice drive along the coast. A very good day.

Great tour with a great guide

It was an incredibly hot day and we spent most of it under the sun. Despite this, me and my partner will never forget it. Lia, our tour guide, was amazing. She has entertained us all day, both on the bus and during the walking visits. Everything was meticulously covered, her English was excellent, even managing to translate the Neapolitan's typical sense of humour very effectively. What I believe made the difference during this trip, was Lia's established knowledge of these sites and their history. Lia has been able not just to give us an incredibly accurate and detailed list of facts, but she tickled our imagination by including characters into her stories. Real people from 2000 years ago seemed to be around us, attending to their daily routines: the wine shop owner who slept upstairs, the refreshment stop points scattered around the streets, the women gossiping about their bad husbands in the spa, the rich home owners wanting to retire in the afternoon for a nap at the back of the house, far from the hustle and bustle of the frenetic front room where the slaves would be at work. We were accurately informed about dates, locations, what happened in 79 ad during the eruption, daily life customs, architecture, art and more. I will never forget this day, I always wanted to visit Pompei and I couldn't have had a better guide. Grazie Lia!!
