After lunch, you will leave onboard the bus to reach the ruins of Herculaneum. Together with your expert guide you will discover this Roman town that, just like the nearby Pompeii, was submerged by the eruption of Vesuvius. Thanks to the volcanic materials, the town is still remained intact till this days.
Exploring the ruins of Herculaneum, you can relive the history of this ancient Roman city, and visit its impressive buildings, adorned with ancient frescoes and mosaics. At the end of the excursion you will come back to Sorrento by bus.
