The Roman city of Pompeii, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was engulfed by the lava and ash erupted by Vesuvius in 79 AD. The eruption buried (and thus preserved intact) under a blanket of pyroclastic materials everything it encountered: buildings, roads and all the people who were unable to escape. A huge tragedy which however allowed us to rediscover the city largely crystallized over time. You can thus fully immerse yourself in the daily life of the greatest empire of antiquity, stroll the streets, visit the houses, the spas, the squares. You can admire paintings, mosaics, furnishings and many other finds. Among the most interesting buildings and spaces are: the forum, the granaries, the Stabian baths, the house of Menandro and the Teatro Grande. Once the visit of Pompeii has ended and you have had time to have lunch on your own, you will get back on board your minibus to head towards the slopes of Mount Vesuvius.
