Vacation package to visit Florence, Siena, Como Lake, Verona, Venice

Depart for 6 days escorted tour from Milan to Rome and admire the famous Dome of Florence, Siena and Milan. Visit Verona, the setting of Romeo and Juliet, and glance out over the lovely Garda and Como Lakes.

Day 1: Milan - Como - Milan

In the late morning, meet the tour leader directly at the hotel in Milan (to be communicated after booking). Join a panoramic guided tour of the city centre, which will include the main attractions and symbols: the Sforza Castle, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery and the Duomo, the imposing gothic cathedral. Free time for lunch (NOT included).
Then, continue to Como to join a half-day excursion: visit one of the deepest lakes in Europe and a favourite destination of aristocrats since Roman times! YDiscover the Lake's beautiful landscape, surrounded by luxurious old villas and characteristic alleys with baroque churches and the majestic Cathedral.
After the visit, return to Milan for the check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Milan - Sirmione - Verona - Mestre*

After an American buffet breakfast at the hotel, board the bus to visit Sirmione, a lovely town bordering Garda Lake. Upon arrival, join a boat ride (wheather conditions permitting) to see the main attractions of the area: the famous Scaliger Castle, the Villa of Maria Callas and the picturesque alleys with breathtaking views on the lake. Free time for lunch (NOT included).
Proceed to Verona. Here you can go discovering very famous monuments, such as the Arena di Verona, which is the heart of Italian opera music. During your free time you can then move to the colorful Piazza delle Erbe, walk the shopping street, without missing a picture from the famous balcony of Juliet.
In the afternoon, depart for Mestre and check-in, dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

Day 3: Mestre - Venice - Mestre*

After breakfast, reach the Island of Venice. Once in the incomparable city of love, follow your knowledgeable guide on a walking tour of the city's most famous monuments and landmarks. See Saint Mark's Square and the Basilica of Saint Mark, Doge's Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs. Listen as your guide shares the secrets of this fascinating city on the water.
Then traverse the waterways of Venice by boat. Travel across the Lagoon, marvelling at the stunning islands while en route to the Island of Murano, famous for its glass blowing. Here, assist in a glass blowing demonstration and spend some time shopping for artisanal glass souvenirs. Back in Venice and enjoy your free time for lunch (NOT included) and visit the city on your own.
Return to the hotel in Mestre for dinner at leisure (NOT included) and overnight.

Day 4: Mestre - Bologna - Florence

After breakfast, depart to discover Bologna! Here you will have time at leisure to visit the symbols of this beautiful city (like the impressive Piazza Maggiore and the Asinelli and Garisenda Towers) and enjoy an Italian lunch (NOT included) in a typical restaurant.
Then proceed to Florence, the "Cradle of the Renaissance". Here take a guided walking tour and admire the most famous landmarks, including the Piazza del Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of Saint John and Santa Croce. Your expert guide will lead you to discover the main attractions, but also though the picturesque alleys of the city center, to breathe its charm.
Check-in at the hotel. Free time for dinner (NOT included) and overnight.

Day 5: Florence

After breakfast, join your day at leisure to explore Florence on your own. If you like art and monuments, we suggest you to visit the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery.
If you prefer to have a walk in nature and admire naturalisti overviews, do not miss Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Chianti area in the beautiful Tuscany. Contact us for any other suggestion! Lunch is NOT included.
At the end of the day, return at the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Florence - San Gimignano - Siena - Rome

After breakfast, proceed towards San Gimignano. Here you will have time at disposal to visit the little medieval town, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Then you will depart to Siena: join a guided walking tour of the historical city centre, around Piazza del Campo, famous all over the world for its architectural beauty and unique "shell" shape. You will also have free time for lunch (NOT included).
In the afternooon, board on your bus and arrive in Rome, where the tour will end.
