The town of Castel Gandolfo is a quiet village located 25 kilometres from Rome, on the Alban hills and on the shores of Lake Albano, part of Roman Castles (Castelli Romani in italian), where are located the Pontifical Villas built during the 17th century; with our guided tour of the Apostolic Palace, the papal summer residence, you will visit a place usually closed to the public, that it has been recently opened to the visits; so you will come to visit a truly unique place in the world, where you will see paintings, relics and other curiosities, like the Music Hall or the Chapel of Urban VIII, that only a few people have visited till now.
You will wander through the famous Barberini's Gardens, the private garden of Villa Barberini, and you will access the villa-museum with multilengual audio guides. .
Once your visit to Castel Gandolfo will be over, you will head back to Rome.
There, you will start the Vatican Museum museum visit, with your skip the line tickets. Our assistant will lead you inside the Vatican Museums, skipping all lines. There, you will be given an audio guide with detailed information meaning you will be free to enjoy the masterpieces at your own pace!
