This tour offers you the chance to explore and admire some of the most beautiful locations in Tuscany, including places like Greve, Gaiole, Montepulciano, Sant’Antimo, Siena, Castellina in Chianti, Montalcino, or Trequanda. Piazza del Campo, the Cathedral, or the small medieval town of Pienza are all unique landmarks that are worth visiting and admiring. Throughout the five days of this Italy tour, you will have the chance to see all of them at leisure and enjoy your time in this breathtaking part of Tuscany.
On the first day you will arrive in Greve in Chianti driving through the beautiful road of Chianti, a scenic route through towns like Greve, precisely, Gaiole and Castellina, all the places where the Chianti wine D.O.C.G., among the most famous in the world, is produced. The next stop will be a visit to a local winery with a tasting of the three Chianti wines that are produced here, along with locally made Tuscan products.
You will spend the night in a 4 star hotel in the Chianti area.
After breakfast you will move to the Val d'Orcia area, but first there will be the time to stop in Siena to visit the beautiful Piazza del Campo, home of the Palio, and to enter in the beautiful town Cathedral. After the visit to Siena, the second day brings you in Montepulciano, where you get to taste the Nobile wine, while in the afternoon you can get around the city as you prefer.
Overnight in Montalcino.
After breakfast you depart for reaching the town of Pienza, a popular resort for the production of a particular type of cheese. The morning will be spent visiting its historical center and is also stopping in a typical shop to taste the famous cheese.
During the afternoon you will be taken to a local farm where you will participate in a traditional Tuscan cooking class followed by a dinner.
For the night you will return to the hotel.
The day will begin after breakfast, and you will visit the wine cellar of “Casato Prime Donne” in Montalcino and taste the Brunello wines and others from the same Montalcino area. This is the part of the tour that most people are waiting for since this is a tour of Tuscany wine. During the afternoon you can stroll around the charming old town of Montalcino and at your return to the hotel, an aperitif accompanied by other local products awaits. For dinner, the chef will prepare you the Pici handmade pasta, a Siena specialty, together with tagliata di Chianina and other local products from Montalcino. Overnight at hotel.
