Jewish Ghetto

Going through the Isola Tiberina, the Tiber Island, we will walk past Ponte Fabricius, the oldest bridge that connects to the Jewish Ghetto in Trastevere with the original inscriptions can still be seen. Opposite the Campo de’ Fiori, you will visit the ancient market, theatre, the Synagogue, and of course you will have the chance to taste delicious Jewish dishes, such as Jewish bakes and artichokes.

Jewish Museum of Rome

The Jewish Museum of Rome is composed by seven rooms, full of Jewish history and treasures from various Jewish communities around the world. In Room Six, you will discover detailed emancipation of the Jews in Rome unto the present time. Discover the different Roman Jewish traditional celebration objects which characterized the unique Jewish life in Rome’s ghetto.

The Great Synagogue of Rome

Known in the past to be the largest synagogue in Europe, the Great Synagogue of Rome is spectacular, thanks to the bright coloured geometric floral monumental decorations on the dome. The precious works done by Brugnoli, Bruschi and Scole can still be seen today. The synagogue is built with Greek and Assyrian architectural eclectic style. On this tour you will have the chance to admire the Synagougue, listening to the guide's explanations.
