A sum of the ingenuity and Florentine craftsmanship moved by an intricate system of weights and counterweights. You will then be amazed by the fact that the hands of this prodigious clock rotate counterclockwise. You will walk through the naves where you will observe the huge fresco created by Vasari and Zuccari. Look carefully at every detail portrayed: from the Last Judgment to the Apocalypse, to the angels and saints.

Please note that from 1st May 2023 controls at the entrance to the Dome and Terraces will be strengthened, and bulky backpacks and bags will no longer be allowed to climb.
The tour requires climbing the stairs to the Dome and the Terraces, for a total number of 466 steps. For that reason, this tour is unfortunately not suitable for guests with wheelchairs and impaired mobility.
Dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
