A 5 days escorted tour to discover Naples, the Sorrentine Peninsula and Capri, the Castellana Grottos, Alberobello’s Trulli, Lecce, Gallipoli, Ostuni and world-famous Matera’s Sassi. Leave from Rome to admire the wonders of Campania, Apulia and Basilicata.
At 7:30 in the morning, the tour will leave Rome for Naples. We will give you the chance to request a pick up between 6:45 and 7:15 am at the hotel where you are staying. After a delicious typical lunch, we will visit the Pompeii’s archeological site, famous for Mount Vesuvius’ 79 AD eruption, that covered the city in ashes and lava. Dinner will be served at the hotel where you will stay in Sorrento.
After an American breakfast at your hotel, we will leave for Capri at 8:00 AM. The ship will leave you in Marina Grande, where depending on the weather we will visit the Blue Grotto, the Augustus’ Gardens and the Piazzetta, the most glamour spot in Capri. After a relaxed, Mediterranean lunch in Anacapri, the most charming part of the island, we will be back in Marina Grande, from where the ship will get you back to Sorrento. Once you are back in your hotel, you can have dinner there.
After a rich breakfast, you will leave in the morning for Castellana Grottos. There, you will meet a professional guide, who will lead you into the bowels of the earth, down for 60 meters. After a 3 km walk, you will admire all kind of stalactites, fossils and stalagmites. The next stop will be in Alberobello, the town internationally known for its “Trulli”, typical constructions with conic roof. During the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel in Castellana Grottos.
After breakfast in hotel, we will leave for Lecce. This city is famous for its architecture and for the Baroque style, which dominates the historical centre. After the discovery of this town in the Salento region of Apulia, we will continue toward Gallipoli. A former fishermen village, facing the sea and built on a calcareous island, it is connected to the mainland by a XVI century bridge. You will have a lunch around this town, and then leave for Ostuni, the “White City” of Apulia. Dinner at the hotel.
Right after breakfast, we will leave for Matera, to admire the famous Sassi. Those constructions made Matera famous all over the world, and are believed to represent the first Italian settlements. They have also been recognised as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. After 5 wonderful days spent in Italy, your tour will end in Sorrento or Rome.

The price shown refers to the price per person in dpuble room. The price per person in single room is €1200,00. The price per person in triple room is €976,00. The fee for a child* (between 6 and 12 years old) with 2 adults is €824,00.
