After the pick-up at your hotel in the city center, begin your adventure discovering Largo Argentina, place of the murder of Julius Caeser.
Visit Campo de’ Fiori, whose namesake comes from what it used to be - a Field of Flowers. Once the site of a bustling town marketplace, this square now contains a bronze statue of Dominican friar and philosopher Giordano Bruno, burned at the stake here for heresy 1600.
After this, progress to the monumental Pantheon. This timeworn temple of the Olympian gods is one of the best preserved buildings of Ancient Rome. A strong and enduring testament to Roman architectural ingenuity, the Pantheon has remained the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome for nearly 2,000 years.
Next, you will head to Navona Square, the most famous city square and one of the most elaborate Baroque squares in Rome. This long, open square is built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian, where competitions used to take place. Among other highlights, the square contains Bernini’s Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, or Fountain of the Four River, topped by the Obelisk of Domitian.
Next, venture to Rome's - and one of the world's - most famous fountains: Trevi Fountain. Set against the Poli Palace, the Trevi Fountain is the city's largest Baroque fountain and has been made famous as a central backdrop in several different films. Here, you can participate in a time honored tradition along with legions of other travelers. Finally, you will het to the base of the Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna. This interesting plaza designed by architects Francesco de Sanctis and Alessandro Specchi hosts the unique Fontana della Barcaccia, an Early Baroque fountain shaped like half of a sunken ship. At the top of the Spanish Steps lies the lovely Trinità dei Monti church. The 135 famous stairs were built in 1725 to link the church and the Bourbon Spanish Embassy.
