If you enjoy staying on the beach, completely immerse in a tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by wild nature and by the only sound of the sea, then you cannot miss this exciting day trip from Cagliari that will take you to explore the most beautiful places in the South-east Coast of the Sardinia Island.
You will depart directly from your hotel in Cagliari, or from any other address within the city. You will travel aboard a comfortable mini-bus along the coast, and as you will pass through splendid places your expert local guide will present you the itinerary.
Your driver will head towards the east, passing along the famous pond of Molentargius where you will likely be able to spot the iconic pink flamingos, elegant birds that used to migrate to Sardinia only during the cold seasons, until they understood that this island is too beautiful to move anywhere else!
The first stop will be at the beach of Mari Pintau, which in Sardinian dialect means "the painted sea", due to its striking colors, that look like if they were painted by an artist. Our boat will stop on this lovely beach to let take some pictures and enjoy a swim or a coffee break at a nice local bar. Continuing our navigation to towards the East, we will have the opportunity to spot the old fortresses, the ancient fortification of the Spanish era and the Tower of Capo Boi (with panoramic view), situated in a dominant position, on top of the headland to a height of about 119 meters and overlooking a beautiful sea.
We will park the mini-bus safely along a dirt road by the hill and we will walk for 15 minutes to reach the top and enjoy a unique magnificent view and take terrific pictures. We will finally arrive at Villasimius where you will have time for a good swim in the astonishing clear waters of this “paradise” location. Your guided tour of the South-east Coast will end with a visit of the village of Villasimius for a short walk of the historic centre, with the possibility to do some shopping or have a drink.
After that, we will comfortably return to Cagliari.
