You will be picked up from your hotel in the center of Catania and taken by bus to the area Etna Park, ready to take on this adventorous tour ideal for trekking lovers. Do not worry about packing your hiking shoes: you will be provided with a pair for free upon arrival! You will immediately admire the rich vegitation of this region, where the woods are thick with beech, birch, chestnut, poplars, and many other varieties. Eagles, hawks, foxes, wild rabbits, and reptiles are also in abundance.
This private tour has customized three different leveled options to accommodate your capacity, strength and adventurous spirit. With three different routes up Mount Etna, you can choose the option best suited for yourself. An approximate 3 hours trekking will take you up to at least 2000 meters in altitude. The routes are rated easy (Axis trail), medium (Serracozzo trail), and hard (Zoccolaro trail). All have different views and different appeals: please, during the booking process, let us know which path you prefer.
Recover from your climb with a picnic before diving into another wonderful experince, exploring a lava flow cave (if included in the tour agreed during the booking process). Here you will be equipped with helmets and torches as you enter this lava conduit, where the guide will explain how it was formed. At the end of this unforgettable Etna tour, you will be accompanied back to your hotel in Catania.
