Your private driver will pick you up directly at the port of Livorno, to take you on a fantastic journey through the Tuscan countryside. The links with the past and the traditions are very strong and are celebrated in the historic Palio di Siena where each year challenging the city districts.
You can visit Piazza del Campo, the main square of the city, used twice a year for the famous horse race called "Palio", but also the Torre del Mangia, the Gaia Fountain and the impressive Cathedral, rich in treasures in its interior. The heart of the city not only offers many architectural beauty but also workshops and shops where you can find crafts and typical products like sweets: Ricciarelli, panpepato and cantucci.
After Siena, you will travel to reach another beautiful destination of Tuscany: the ancient town of San Gimignano, where you can admire its characteristic medieval towers, the Cathedral and the old churches. San Gimignano rises on top of a hill 334m above sea level, clearly visible in the distance with its many towers. Today 13 towers remain of the 72 towers of the fourteenth century, when every well off family built a tower to show its economical power (many of them are still visible in the buildings, even if they were cut off).
At the end of your private tour, your driver will drop you off at the port of Livorno, in time to board on your cruise ship.
