Right after your disembark at La Spezia Port, you will meet your professional driver (at disposal for a total of 8 hours) that will drive you toward Florence. The wonderful birthplace of Dante Alighieri, the Italian Cradle of the Renaissance, filled with art and culture. You will visit by yourself, or with a professional guide (contact us for a personalized quotation), the historical centre and the most beautiful streets that will lead you to the Duomo Square. Here, you will admire the wonderful Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the Duomo of Florence, surmounted by the world-famous Brunelleschi dome, in addition to the octagonal San Giovanni Baptistery.
You will then proceed toward one of the most iconic attractions of Florence, the Ponte Vecchio, its most ancient bridge. With its romantic appearance, and the traditional shops hosted on its sides, you can’t miss this wonderful bridge passing over the Arno River. It is then time for a look at Piazza della Signoria, a square full of art pieces, including a reproduction of Michelangelo’s David, the Neptune Fountain, the Cosimo I statue, Donatello's Judith and Holofernes. A walk across the past glory and art of Florence.
The last stop of this tour will include a walk by the neighbourhood that owes its name to one of the symbols of Italian literature: Dante Alighieri. The author of the Divine Comedy was in fact born and raised in Florence, and is one of its most famous writers, philosophers and poets.
After a walk by this beautiful area, you will get back on one of our vehicles, and return to La Spezia Port.
