On this tour from Rome you will spend your day discovering the gorgeous region of Umbria, famous for its vast expanses of olive groves and vineyards.
 
We will leave Rome and we will head to the North, and once we will have crossed the Tiber River valley, we will reach Orvieto. There you will visit and experience for yourself the magnificent Cathedral of Orvieto, a marvel from the fourteenth century, a true masterpiece of Gothic architecture.
 
The short tour from Rome then continues with a visit to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Assisi, still surrounded by its ancient walls, was built on the green hills of Mount Subasio. There, you will have the opportunity to visit the Papal Basilica of St. Francis, in which lies the tomb of the Saint who spoke to animals and where you are able to admire the masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue, who among the most important artists of all time. The eXPerience of seeing these inspiring places is truly unforgettable.
 
The visit to Assisi will continue to the church of Santa Maria of the Angels, where St. Francis died in 1226. Our driver was great! Very professional, fantastic Mercedes minivan, very polite and helpful, punctual, careful driver.

Pick-up on time at our hotel in Rome, drive to Orvieto and let us out, then drive to Assissi and had lunch and walked around.

Best way to see Italy!

From the moment Domenico picked us up at the hotel to the minute he dropped us off back he was amazing, very professional, friendly and funny. Super well dressed which we loved!! We spent the day seeing beautiful landmarks and getting around in a private car was definitely the way to do it, I will give this tour a 5 star rating and Domenico 20 stars!!!
