This private tour from Venice has a unique allure and setting. It will lead you through the wonderful path that crosses the Dolomites to arrive to Cortina, the pearl of the Dolomites. Among the wonders you will admire there will be the biggest park of Cadore: the Misurina Lake; the Tre Cime of Lavaredo, the most famous heights of the Alps, and the Auronzo Lake, the most famous artificial lake of Northern Italy.
In the morning, on board of a minivan with all comforts (private driver at disposal a total of 8 hours) , you will travel through the wonderful streets that connect Venice with the Dolomites, full of trees and curves, snowy peaks shining under the sun and breath-taking landscapes.
Wild sceneries, fresh air and the unique perfume of the mountain areas. This is what you can expect before arriving to Cortina, the uncontested gem of this places, well-known for being the destination of public people, artists and tourists. An elite, exclusive destination. You will have about an hour to visit this marvel, its cool cafes and patisseries, chic boutiques, elegant streets. All of this, surrounded by the frame of the trees and of the Dolomites, the pink mountains.
The tour will continue toward the Misurina Lake, the biggest of Cadore, at a height of 1.754 meters. Here, you will dive into a breath-taking scenery: an endless stretch of water, surrounded by mountains that reflect in the blue of the lake.
From here, you will observe the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, three of the most important peaks in the Alps. At that point, you might take this chance to have lunch at one of the restaurants around the Lake, surrounded by this wonderful scenery, between the silence of the mountains and the calm of the Lake.
Once your break is finished, you will leave to discover another beauty of this area: the Auronzo Lake, also known as the Santa Caterina Lake. Completely artificial, it has been built to stem the Ansiei River.
With its big surface, it offers a beautiful view, between mountains, benches kissed by the sun where you can stop to spend some peaceful time, the fresher air you can imagine, typical wooden houses. This is the precious treasure that will fill your eyes, and that will accompany you during your return back to Venice.
