Loved every moment of our all day tour to Cinque Terre!

Our small guided group (8 in all), led by excellent, knowledgeable van driver, Eleanora, traveled north from Florence toward the coast to Cinque Terre, five, beautiful charming villages set in the cliffs along the Mediterranean. Our first village stop was Vernazza where Eleanora led us on a path through vineyards and olive trees. The views were spectacular. We boarded the van and our next stop was Manarola. We parked the van and walked into a quaint village with many shops. After time to explore on our own, we met to board a train to Riomaggiore, We had a delicious lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Lunch included a seafood appetizer, linguini with pesto sauce, penne pasta with marinara sauce, and a slice of custard pie for dessert. Wine/red wine was also served. After lunch we had free time to explore the village and its lovely shops. We met at the docking area to board the boat to Monterosso, a wonderful seaside village. We enjoyed dipping our feet in the Mediterranean and visiting a few shops before taking the train back to Manorala to once again board our van for the ride back to Florence. What a magnificent day!
